Have a disease, health problem or just don't feel well? The organs and systems of the body each require specific nutrients to run, just as a car requires gas. Perhaps you don't have enough gas or are just plain on empty. Your body parts work better when they have the nutrients and fuel they require. I focus my practice on women's health. The reason I am here is to help you get well. Using a natural method that gets to the root cause of health problems and removes barriers to healing. And that's what I see in my office people living with all kinds of health challenges -- from chronic fatigue to digestive disorders, from joint pains to trouble sleeping, from allergies to hormonal imbalances. ABOUT DR. SANTANGELO Christina T. Santangelo, MD has been a physician for over 20 years. In addition to completing an Internal Medicine residency in the 1980's, she studied through the UCLA Extension to become a Medical Acupuncturist. Interest in the Mind-Body connection led to trainings and graduations from the Institute of CoreEnergetic Therapy and the I.M. School of Healing Arts. Other avenues of study led to training in NET, neuroemotional technique, and NAET allergy elimination technique. Dr. Santangelo changed the focus of her studies and practice to more nutritionally based after treatment for a recurrence of cancer left her sicker than she had ever been in her life. In her own words, "I was more exhausted than I believed possible and my sleep was suffering from hot flashes since chemotherapy had put me in menopause. Chemo had also given me pains in my feet secondary to nerve damage and left me with worse joint pains in more joints than I had ever had before. I was desparate to feel better." Whole food nutrition and Nutrition Response Testing have had a profound positive impact on her energy, health and life. Improving the health and the quality of her patients' lives has been her life's goal. She is determined to share the improvements she has experienced, which lead her to do training in both Basic and Advance Nutrition Response Training, resulting in her being one of the less than 100 practioners certified in Advance Nutrition Response Testing in the U.S. (To find out more about Nutrition Response Testing, click here.) Dr Santangelo also offers free educational talks. Check the calendar for up-coming talks.
